What happens in the first appointment?
During your first visit, Dr. Bresler will review your mental health and medical history to get a comprehensive understanding of your mental health needs and goals. At the end of the visit, you and he will develop a detailed plan of treatment which may include medication, therapy and lifestyle changes.
Do you accept insurance?
Dr. Bresler does not accept insurance.
However, if you have an insurance plan with Out-of-Network benefits, Dr. Bresler will provide you with a form that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement of some portion of the cost of the visit. For more information, please contact your insurance plan to ask what your Out-of-Network mental health benefits are.
Do you offer psychotherapy?
Dr. Bresler offers therapy to treat depression, anxiety, PTSD, addiction and a wide variety of other mental health conditions using techniques and skills from cognitive behavioral thearpy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and psychodynamic psychotherapy. Additionally, Dr. Bresler works closely with a number of psychotherapists in the LA area. If you would benefit most from a type of therapy that Dr. Bresler does not provide, he will offer you a list of skilled psychotherapists who perform that type of therapy.
What is your cancellation policy?
Appointments can be cancelled or rescheduled for no fee as long as you do so at least one full business day before the start of your appointment time. For example, an 8am appointment on Tuesday must be changed by 7:59am Monday, but an 8am appointment on Monday must be changed by 7:59am the previous Friday.
Appointments changed less than one full business day before the appointment time will be billed for the full amount of the session.
Do you treat children or teens?
Dr. Bresler only treats adults, 18 and older.
